Shah Happiness Foundation announced a transformational philanthropic commitment to Illumination Health + Home to rename its Broadway Recuperative Care Center as the Shah Happiness Recuperative Care Center, expanding compassionate bridge housing and healing services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Orange County.
The Shah Happiness Recuperative Care Center provides safe, supportive housing for individuals recovering after hospital discharge, offering medical oversight, care management, behavioral health therapy, and substance use counseling. The Center plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of care, dignity, and stability for individuals during a vulnerable transition period.
“We are deeply grateful for the Shah Family’s generosity and their shared commitment to our mission,” said Dr. Pooja Bhalla, Chief Executive Officer, Illumination Health + Home. “Their support allows us to continue providing safe, compassionate spaces where individuals can recover, heal, and move toward stability. Through Shah Happiness Foundation, the Shah family, longtime supporters of Illumination Health + Home also enabled the opening of the Shah Happiness Home in January 2024, a family emergency home serving unhoused families. The Foundation partners with organizations that create lasting improvements in health, education, and overall well-being.
