05/05/2020 - MSI Helps Promote and Enable Distance Learning by Donating Technology to Their Employees
M S International, Inc. (“MSI”), the leading supplier of flooring, countertop, wall tile, and hardscaping products in North America is giving a laptop or tablet device to all of its hourly employees in North America. This donation will benefit employees and their families requiring tools necessary for distance learning and development as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
The COVID-19 crisis immediately caused schools to close and distance learning to be initiated. For children to participate they had to have the appropriate hardware. Due to cost considerations at school districts and with families many children did not have the tools to participate. MSI purchased and is delivering laptop and tablet devices to all of its hourly employees that requested one. These devices can be used for distance learning as well as to help families stay in contact with each other while shelter at home orders are in effect.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has caused huge disruption to our normal way of life,” said Raj Shah President of MSI. “With children being forced to learn virtually from home we realized that many of our employees did not have the required hardware to enable distance learning. Education is paramount to the success of children and families and we were not going to let our employees’ children suffer from a lack of education even during these times,” continued Raj.
MSI contributes significantly to education related causes. The company and its founders’ hope is to make education attainable for all children.
