Accounts Payable - Admin
Summary: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible to provide administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly role. Hourly rates start at $20.00+, plus Over Time (paid at 1.5x), plus Bonuses. Annual pay for new hires generally ranges between $45,600 and $57,465 or more, depending on experience, overtime hours worked and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support including vendor maintenance, reconciliation of accounts, and resolving vendor queries.
- Responsible for maintaining the vendor database.
- Understand of the conversion from an invoice to a voucher.
- Following terms and deadlines set forth by the department and MSI.
- Monitoring vendor account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
- Communicating with vendor via phone, mail, or personally
- Follow established processes and procedures for petty cash, checks, corporate credit card usage and more.
- Investigate and resolve vendor queries.
- Process adjustments as necessary.
- Responsible for clerical duties, and covering our front desk reception as needed.
- Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or college coursework preferred.
- Two (2) plus years’ experience in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications; Intermediate Excel Skills.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal, listening and communications skills
- Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
